Case StudiesClient: Telegen A common ethos of belief in high quality customer service lies at the heart of the successful working relationship between call centre entrepreneur Tony Kinghorn and Rock Financial Consultants. Tony’s Brighton-based business, Telegen UK, has become one of the UK’s leading independent outsourced contact centres since it was launched in 2000. Since then it has grown to employ around 370 people, who provide call centre services to big name clients in the insurance, utilities, telecoms and financial services sectors. Tony first came across Rock ten years or so ago through his wife, Michele. Rock had previously organised a pension scheme for Michele and Tony also turned to the company for advice and personal financial products including a pension for himself, pensions for his children and mortgages. He was impressed by the service Rock provided and so the company was an obvious alternative when he became dissatisfied with his then supplier of financial advice and schemes to Telegen UK, a couple of years ago. Tony turned to Rock, who researched the marketplace for a best value pension scheme for Telegen UK staff. He was delighted at the outcome: “Now we have a company pension scheme that is better administered and costs us less to run, thanks to Rock.” Rock has also sourced a company health care scheme and Tony says there is potential for more collaborative working in the future. As the boss of an award-winning call centre specialist, where the quality of customer contact is integral to continuing success, Tony says: “We want suppliers who are easy to deal with and give good value. Rock gets a tick in both boxes. “The whole Rock team is very helpful, and very much customer focused. That is their ethos and it is what I believe in too. If you provide good value, people will come back for more – and that’s why I like working with Rock.”
